Here are the important elements of the RAMQ Newsletter #285.

An establishment facing a serious shortage of personnel in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic may apply for a medical manpower assignment (CNREM). No designation is required for either the physician involved or the facility. The physician who accepts the CNREM reassignment is eligible for the terms of LE269 with the exception of hourly practice compensation.

For hourly and flat fee compensation, you must use code XXX349 Clinical Services – COVID-19 and enter the facility number in which you hold your appointment. If you are normally paid on a flat fee basis and this mode is not continued during reassignment, you will need to use leave code 89.

Retroactive to January 1, 2022, RAMQ can see billing now. You have 120 days from February 24, 2022 to bill for services

When opting for fee-for-service or hourly, all services or packages billed upon reassignment must be accompanied by the new context element #AMA (additional medical assignment in a troubled area within an LE269 facility).

Retroactive to January 1, 2022, RAMQ is only ready to receive this billing as of March 28, 2022. You must therefore hold your billing until that date.
