Retroactive to February 28, 2020, physicians and settings must be designated as specified in LE269 to qualify for the following compensation:
- Physician called during on-call standby may take advantage of the on-call standby package and the on-call site package during the time the physician is in the emergency department. You will need to use the new context element #GDU (on-call physician called to the ED to provide on-site services). Please note that if your on-call duty extends, you cannot no longer bill the on-call duty package (not available during this extension period.)
Important, the RAMQ will only be ready to receive this type of billing as of March 28, 2022. You must therefore hold your billing until that date. You will have 120 days as of March 28, 2022 to bill for its services. As of March 28, re-billing (to add the context element) of the on-call packages that may have been refused between the period of February 28, 2020 and March 27, 2022 can be done
